Frequently asked questions

What does everything cost?

Flutie Flakes comes in two pack sizes: two boxes for $28.95, or a case of twelve for $127.95. The Collector’s Tee is $29.95 and the Flutie Flakes Cap is $29.95. Two bundles pair two boxes with either the tee or the cap for $52.95 — $5.95 less than buying them separately. All prices in US dollars.

What pack sizes does the cereal come in?

Two boxes, or a case of twelve. Either way it is the 2026 collector’s edition — a new box design for the relaunch, with the frosted corn flakes people remember. Plenty of people buy two: one to eat and one to keep sealed on a shelf, which is exactly how they bought them the first time around. The case of twelve costs less per box, and is there for anyone who wants more than two.

What sizes does the tee come in?

Medium, Large and Extra Large

Do you ship outside the United States?

USA Only

Can I change or cancel my order?

No order changes or cancellations will be provided/accepted

What is your return policy?

All sales are final. We do not accept returns or exchanges, and we do not offer refunds for change of mind, incorrect sizing, or items no longer wanted. If your order arrives damaged, defective, or is not what you ordered, email tballou@plbsports.com within 5 days of delivery with your order number, a description of the issue and photos. See the Terms and Conditions for the full policy.

Who packs my order?

Your order is picked, packed and shipped by the Boone Center, whose BCI Packaging team employs adults with disabilities. Choosing them was deliberate: the way the order reaches you is part of what the product is for.

What is it?

Frosted corn flakes — the same cereal people remember from 1998, in a new box designed for the 2026 relaunch.

How big is the box?

Ten servings per container, with a serving size of one cup (40g) — that is per box, whichever pack size you buy.

What are the nutrition facts?

The full panel is on the Nutrition tab of the Flutie Flakes product page. In short: 140 calories per serving dry, 180 with half a cup of fat free milk.

Who does this support?

The Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism, which Doug and Laurie Flutie started in 1998 after their son Dougie was diagnosed and they found how little help there was for families like theirs.

Can I donate without buying anything?

Yes. You can give to the Foundation directly at flutiefoundation.org/ways-to-give.

Is this the Buffalo Bills cereal from 1998?

That is the one. Doug Flutie was playing in Buffalo when PLB Sports put his name on the first box in 1998, and Western New York went through them faster than anywhere else — stores there ended up limiting how many you could take. It is Doug Flutie’s cereal rather than a team product: PLB made it then and makes it now, the proceeds go to his family’s foundation, and 2026 is the last run of it.

Why is this happening now?

In 1998 Doug Flutie was 36, playing out a season nobody expected anything from, and on his way to being named pro football’s Comeback Player of the Year. PLB Sports printed fifty thousand boxes of a cereal with his name on it, with the proceeds going to the foundation he and Laurie had started for their son. They sold more than three million. Grocery stores put limits on how many you could take. People bought two anyway — one to eat, one to keep sealed on a shelf. That December the millionth box went out.

Is this really the last one?

Yes. The cereal, the tee and the cap are the entire catalog, and they are the last three products we will offer. When the final run sells through there is no restock and no second edition.

Will the 1998 box be reprinted?

No
